The Playa Linda’s condo-style accommodations and kid-friendly amenities make it popular among families, and there’s plenty going on throughout the day. For the most part, guests review the resort favorably. Reserving beach palapas can be a nuisance and the rooms are fairly basic and dated; but the property offers a solid beach area, a nice swimming pool area with two pools (one is adults-only), an Asian-inspired spa with indoor and outdoor treatments, excellent dining variety both on-site and in the immediate vicinity, a decent fitness center, and lighted tennis courts. Other amenities include an ice cream shop, a juice bar, a game room, a playground, and a BBQ picnic area. Accommodations range from studios to two-bedroom suites; townhomes that can accommodate up to eight are also available. All have full kitchens except the studios, which have smaller kitchenettes. Activities include Zumba and other fitness classes, pool aerobics, Papiamento lessons (Papiamento is the local language), bingo, karaoke, free coffee hour on the beach, live music, and scavenger hunts and arts and crafts for kids. Off-site shops and restaurants are plentiful at the Palm Beach Shopping Mall just across the street, and water sports (such as scuba diving, snorkeling, jet skiing, and sailing) are offered in the immediate vicinity.
In the event of a positive COVID test before U.S. re-entry, the island’s mandatory COVID-19 insurance will cover designated accommodation costs until recovery.
