A towering resort on an outstanding white-sand beach in the heart of Cancun’s Hotel Zone, the upper-mid-range Beach Palace boasts some of the best ocean views in Cancun and caters well to both families and couples. Dining variety is below average for an all-inclusive, on-site activities are somewhat lacking, and the fitness center is small with limited equipment; but the property offers a sleek rooftop swim-up bar and pool, two other swim-up bars, great restaurants for an all-inclusive, separate kids and teens clubs, a large main pool area overlooking the ocean with a waterslide, nightly shows, three outdoor jacuzzis, beach volleyball, and plenty of lounge chairs and Bali beds on the beach. The superb beach helps the Overall Beach Resort Rating, raising it from the lower to upper A range. The quality spa offers hydrating body wraps, deep-tissue massages, facials, hydrotherapy, plunge pools, herbal steam rooms, and more. The rooms, while not overly modern for a luxury resort, are quite nice; they come with double whirlpool tubs and balconies with top-notch ocean views. Off-site shops and restaurants abound in the vicinity (La Isla Shopping Village is within easy walking distance) and Cancun’s buzzing nightlife scene isn’t far. Water sports such as jet skiing, flyboarding, and hoverboarding are also available within walking distance at Jetpack Adventures.
