An upscale all-inclusive resort towards the middle of Cancun’s Hotel Zone and near a plethora of water sports, the Fiesta Americana Condesa underwent renovations in 2017 and caters exceptionally well to families with plenty of kid-friendly activities, adult and teen activities, kids and teens clubs, and a pool with a small pirate ship. Not all rooms have balconies or ocean views and the fitness center is only decent; but the resort offers a beautiful white-sand beach, a large two-level swimming pool with an expansive wraparound swim-up bar, fairly good food for an all-inclusive with outstanding variety (including an outdoor grill and an alluring open-air cevicheria overlooking the beach), and a wonderfully friendly staff. The recently remodeled rooms come with rain showers, modern Mexican accents, large flat-screen TVs, and comfortable bedding; the hotel features contemporary Mexican architecture, too, with artistic multi-color exteriors and one of the largest thatched-roof palapas in Mexico. Kid-friendly activities include sand castle building, kite making, arts and crafts, boat building, T-shirt painting, and supervised pool and beach games and competitions. Other activities include tequila tastings, cooking classes, Mayan astrology lessons, live music, and yoga classes. Aquaworld is within walking distance; the impressive selection of water sports there includes excellent scuba diving, parasailing, snorkeling with whale sharks and other marine life, Flowrider surfing, jet skiing, jet boat rides, deep sea fishing, Flyboarding, jungle boat tours, day trips to Isla Mujeres, and more.
All guests are eligible for a complimentary COVID-19 antigen test on-site prior to departure. Also, at check-in, guests are offered insurance, called “Travel with Confidence Protection,” that covers any accidents or illnesses (including COVID) at a cost of $4 USD per night.
