A lower-priced all-inclusive option in an isolated location on the island of Cozumel, Allegro Cozumel is a decent economy option for families, and offers very good water sport options (especially scuba diving). The food is just so-so at best, the beach isn’t overly large or impressive by Cancun area standards (but more than decent by Cozumel standards), mosquitoes can be an issue, the overall service gets inconsistent reviews, and the fitness center is fairly lackluster; but the resort offers four swimming pools (including a kids pool with small-to-medium-sized water slides), an impressive swim-up bar, separate kids and teens clubs, three quality tennis courts plus a multi-sport court, and a fun entertainment team that keeps activities going throughout the day. Activities include beach volleyball (on a good court), snorkeling, scuba diving (the outstanding Palancar Reef is just offshore), windsurfing, sailing, kayaking, and deep sea fishing.
On-site COVID-19 testing is offered prior to departure, but it isn’t complimentary.
