Within easy walking distance of a great selection of off-site shops and restaurants, the all-inclusive Holiday Inn Resort Ixtapa caters well to families. The beach is only decent at best by Mexico standards, the fitness center feels cramped, the food gets mixed reviews, and on-site dining variety is below average for an all-inclusive; but the property offers a good kids club, relatively high quality rooms for the price range, a basic spa, a swim-up bar, and a mostly social atmsophere. Suites come with king or double beds, a small living area with a sofa bed, and two full bathrooms. Some rooms have bunk beds. Activities are limited, but include yoga classes, aerobics, kayaking, bike tours to nearby beaches, beach volleyball, and mini golf. There’s also a fairly good golf course within walking distance. Downtown Zihuatanejo, another coastal town, is about 10 miles away.
