One of the lowest-priced beachfront resorts in Los Cabos, Villa del Palmar attracts both families and couples. It’s one of three properties in the resort complex (the others being Villa del Arco and Villa La Estancia); of the three, it ranks third in terms of overall quality (the main difference is the quality of the rooms) – but the pricing is consistent with that. The swimming pools are smaller here than at the neighboring sister properties (and below average for Los Cabos, which generally has very large pools), the beach is somewhat narrower than it is in other parts of Cabo, some restaurant items are not part of the optional all-inclusive plan, and timeshare pitches can be a nuisance; but the property offers accommodations with up to three bedrooms, a swimmable beach (somewhat rare for the area because of the undertow and rip currents), themed night shows, a great selection of on-site restaurants (including a good taco bar), and plenty of activities for kids. Villa del Palmar is also closest to the resort complex’s four tennis courts. “Unique Suites” come with extra perks such as a complimentary beach bag, fruit basket, bottle of wine, bottle of tequila, L’Occitane bath products, and use of the hydrotherapy circuit at the 31,000-square-foot spa next door. Guests have access to all amenities at both neighboring sister properties, including the spa.
On-site COVID-19 antigen testing is available for guests prior to returning to the United States, but it isn’t complimentary (although guests will receive a resort credit equal to the cost of the test, which they can spend at the resort during their stay). In the event of a positive test, the guest can extend their stay for up to 14 nights at a discounted rate.
