Resort Profile

An upper-mid-range all-inclusive resort along Nassau’s renowned Cable Beach, Melia Nassau Beach caters very well to families with a great kids club for ages 5-12 and plenty of activities and water sports. It’s a strong all-around beach resort with few major weaknesses. The grounds (and check-in line) can feel crowded at peak times of year, getting restaurant reservations can be difficult, the common areas and hallways lack air conditioning (this is a common guest complaint), there’s no on-site spa, and not all restaurants are included in the all-inclusive plan; but the property offers an excellent white-sand beach with palapas and lounge chairs, three freeform swimming pools with waterfalls and a lively swim-up bar by the beach, outdoor jacuzzis, good food for an all-inclusive with outstanding dining variety (seven restaurants to choose from with varied cuisine), an on-site Starbucks, a sleek fitness center with modern equipment, and a free shuttle to the nearby Baha Mar megaresort complex. Rooms come with mahogany furnishings, carpeting, flat-screen TVs, and furnished balconies or patios; upgrading to “The Level” rooms comes with perks such as access to exclusive lounge and beach areas, ocean views from all rooms, an exclusive breakfast, and preferred restaurant reservations. Activities include free tours to Balmoral Island, dance and mixology classes, jewelry making, beach volleyball (on a strong court), beach soccer and other beach games, yoga and Zumba classes, water aerobics, jet skiing, kayaking, parasailing, water skiing, snorkeling tours, banana boat rides, sightseeing tours, Bahamian arts and crafts for kids, and nightly live music and themed evening entertainment.

Everyone traveling to The Bahamas must obtain a negative COVID-19 RT-PCR (swab) test taken no more than five days prior to the date of arrival. The day the test is taken is considered Day Zero. Test must return a negative result for entry into The Bahamas. Children 10 and under are not required to take a test. Negative PCR test results must be uploaded in order to complete a Bahamas Health Visa application, and must be presented upon arrival in The Bahamas.
