Surrounded by the shops and restaurants of San Juan’s Condado District, the San Juan Marriott & Stellaris Casino caters to a healthy mix of couples, families, and singles. The grounds can be crowded at peak times, on-site activities are very limited (especially water sports and activities for kids), and the on-site restaurants are expensive with limited variety; but the resort offers a strong beachfront with plenty of space, a mostly social atmosphere, a nice pool area with a twisting waterslide and a swim-up bar, a top-notch casino, quality on-site food, a solid fitness center with dumbbells heavier than 50 lbs and a good amount of space, a small but chic spa, great overall service (especially at the bars and restaurants), and upscale rooms with modern amenities. Rooms come with furnished balconies (many have excellent ocean views), comfortable beds, large flat-screen TVs, sleek bathrooms, and trendy whitewashed wood flooring (in many). Activities include tennis, yoga classes, bikes for rent, and nightlife within walking distance. Water sports are available in the general vicinity and excursions to El Yunque rainforest, the bioluminescent bay, Old San Juan, and the Camuy Caves can be arranged.
As Puerto Rico is a commonwealth of the United States, the CDC COVID-19 testing requirement for U.S. travelers re-entering the U.S. from international destinations does not apply.
