A modern, all-suite, adult-oriented resort, the Majestic Mirage caters better to couples than the other two Majestic properties in Punta Cana (next door – the Colonial and Elegance properties, rated A2 and Baa1 respectively). Five of the seven buildings of the Mirage complex are adults-only (booked separately – this section allows children). The beach can get crowded at peak times, the food gets mixed reviews (this factor has a negative effect on the Overall Beach Resort Rating), and some of the amenities (such as the spa, casino, and kids club) are next door at the Majestic Colonial; but the resort offers two very long, meandering lazy river-style swimming pools, a nice beachfront, quality overall service, strong restaurant variety, and a good selection of water sports. The beautiful suites here are much more modern and upscale than the rooms at the sister properties next door; they come with outdoor jacuzzis, nearly 1,000 square feet of space, butler service, flat-screen TVs, and private balconies (most with ocean views). 114 of the 510 accommodations are swim-up suites. On-site water sports include Hobie Cat sailing, banana boat rides, jetboat and party boat rides, parasailing, scuba diving, snorkeling, kayaking, and windsurfing.
Complimentary COVID-19 antigen tests are provided on-site for guests staying three nights or more (results are delivered within 48 hours). PCR tests are also available for $79 USD (results are delivered within 72 hours). In the event of a positive test, guests can stay at the resort until recovery at a discounted rate ($100 USD per person in double occupancy or $120 USD per person in single occupancy).
