An economical all-inclusive resort with an enormous lagoon-shaped pool and spacious condo-style accommodations, Villa del Palmar Flamingos caters well to families; with an outstanding +6 TripValue, it’s one of the best bargains in all of Mexico. The resort is situated on one of the better beachfronts in the Riviera Nayarit area, and offers a plethora of on-site activities. The family-friendly atmosphere is both relaxing and interactive, but timeshare pitches can be bothersome and there isn’t much in terms of off-site shops and restaurants in the area (Bucerias is a nearby village, but it’s a little bit of a walk). Suites come with up to three bedrooms; they’re equipped with full kitchens, dining areas, washer/dryers, living areas with Murphy beds, and large balconies or terraces with ocean or garden views. The smaller Junior Suites have kitchenettes. Activities include cooking and dance classes, water aerobics, yoga and Zumba classes, water and beach volleyball, and nightly dinner and theme shows; water sports such as jet skiing, parasailing, scuba diving, snorkeling, and whale watching are also available in the vicinity. Other perks include full access to sister resort Villa La Estancia next door, high-quality facilities at the Tatewari Spa, an above average kids club for ages 4-12, an outstanding fitness center, and good on-site dining variety.
On-site COVID-19 antigen testing is available for guests prior to returning to the United States, but it isn’t complimentary (although guests will receive a resort credit equal to the cost of the test, which they can spend at the resort during their stay). In the event of a positive test, the guest can extend their stay for up to 14 nights at a discounted rate.
