A couples-only, all-inclusive resort within the greater Coconut Bay Beach Resort & Spa (Baa2) complex, the upscale Serenity at Coconut Bay opened in 2017 and caters well to couples and honeymooners with top-notch accommodations and impeccable service. Airplane noise can be noticeable due to the proximity of the airport, the beach is small and unimpressive (plus wind and seaweed can be problematic at times since it’s on the Atlantic side of the island; this factor has a strong negative effect on the Overall Beach Resort Rating, lowering it from the upper A range to the lower A range), and rates can be quite high; but the property offers excellent food for an all-inclusive (especially at The Greathouse) with outstanding dining variety (seven restaurants plus pizza by the pool and a jerk chicken treehouse), five swimming pools plus a more tranquil pool exclusive to Serenity guests with in-water loungers, oceanfront beach cabanas with butler service and showers, and a solid fitness center with plenty of windows. The 11,000 square-foot spa offers three private beachfront cabanas, two saunas, two steam rooms, a full service beauty salon, and a good selection of treatments including hot stone massages. Rooms come with butler service, in-suite spa treatments, private plunge pools with waterfalls, modern mahogany four-poster beds, beautiful whitewashed wood flooring, contemporary stone bathrooms with walk-in rain showers, personalized wet bars with premium liquor and wines, Bose sound systems, and large flat-screen TVs. Activities include on-site paintball (highly unique), kitesurfing with lessons, windsurfing, above average nightly entertainment, kayaking, snorkeling, stand-up paddleboarding, yoga and Pilates classes, reggae dance classes, darts, beach volleyball, water polo, and tennis on quality courts. Island tours and sunset catamaran cruises can also be arranged.
Complimentary COVID-19 antigen tests are available on-site for guests returning to the United States and staying five nights or more. For guests with shorter stays, antigen tests cost $75 USD per person.
