One of pricey St. Lucia’s more economical beachfront options, Windjammer Landing Villa Beach Resort caters well to families with hillside rooms with outstanding ocean views, Mediterranean-style architecture, and a plethora of activities. The beach is on the small and somewhat unimpressive side, the tiny fitness center is well below average, the isolated location isn’t near off-site shops or restaurants, and the grounds’ steep climbs aren’t ideal for less mobile guests (although a free shuttle is offered to get around); but the property offers six swimming pools (two for smaller children), five restaurants and four bars, separate kids and teens clubs, calm water for swimming at the beach, a great selection of water sports, a nice spa with volcanic mud wraps and Magnesium Massages, and a mostly social atmosphere. Accommodation types include rooms, suites, and villas; the suites and villas have fully equipped kitchens and some have washer/dryers and/or private plunge pools. Activities include excellent scuba diving and snorkeling (Windjammer is also the only resort on the island to offer dive lessons for children), stand-up paddleboarding, sailing, water skiing, jet skiing, kneeboarding, wakeboarding, windsurfing, cocktail parties, nightly entertainment, and candlelight and full moon yoga classes. For kids, there’s also pizza parties, coconut bowling, and dance lessons. Available excursions include deep sea fishing, horseback riding, ziplining, volcano tours, and cycling tours, among more.
Complimentary COVID-19 antigen tests are available on-site for guests staying at the resort a minimum of five nights. Results are provided within 24 hours. For guests staying one to four nights, the rapid antigen test is available for $50 USD per person.
