An upscale condo-style resort on Grace Bay Beach, one of the most beautiful beaches in the Caribbean, The Somerset on Grace Bay caters very well to families with roomy accommodations and kid-friendly activities such as outdoor movie nights on the lawn and family sand castle competitions. The spa and fitness facilities are small and disappointing for a resort of this caliber, there’s no swim-up bar, and the atmosphere might not be social enough for some (the usual quietude is a plus for others); but the property offers an outstanding white-sand beachfront, a genuinely kind and helpful staff, a zero-entry infinity pool plus a reverse current lap pool, a daily happy hour with 2-for-1 drink specials, a pre-arrival grocery shopping service, an excellent kids club with ample activities, and a top-notch restaurant with award-winning conch spring rolls and delicious warm crusted Brie (there’s also a casual poolside grill). Ranging from one to five bedrooms, the villas are extremely spacious and well-equipped; they come with full gourmet kitchens with Viking appliances, flat-screen TVs in the living room and in each bedroom, washer/dryers, Molton Brown of London bath amenities, and high-end bathrooms with soaking tubs and rain showers. The Queen Rooms are smaller, standard rooms with fewer amenities. Activities include weekly beach BBQs with bonfires, private dinners on the beach, morning yoga and Pilates classes (each occur once per week), Hobie Cat sailing with lessons, stand-up paddleboarding and windsurfing lessons, and croquet on the only regulation croquet lawn in Turks & Caicos. Off-site shops and restaurants are available within walking distance.
Departure COVID-19 antigen tests are provided on-site on a complimentary basis.
