One of the more affordable beachfront options in pricey Turks & Caicos, Windsong on the Reef caters well to both couples and families with a relaxing atmosphere, personalized service, and easy access to excellent on-site snorkeling. The beach is significantly more narrow here than most of beautiful Grace Bay Beach (this factor has a modest negative effect on the Overall Beach Resort Rating), some aspects of the rooms are slightly dated, there’s no swim-up bar, the fitness center is basic and unimpressive, and not all rooms have balconies; but the property offers a pool with a unique transparent glass wall plus a waterfall bridge and two jacuzzis, a complimentary continental breakfast, a coffee bar with pastries and smoothies, private romantic dinners on the beach, a nice spa with couples treatments and hot stone massages, and optional butler service that can arrange things like pre-arrival grocery delivery and restaurant reservations. Rooms come with ten-foot ceilings, custom wood cabinetry, travertine marble flooring, large flat-screen TVs, kitchens or kitchenettes, and full marble bathrooms. Activities include stand-up paddleboarding, Hobie Cat sailing, glass-bottom paddleboating, and kayaking. Bight Reef (also known as Coral Gardens Reef), a top-notch snorkeling spot with sea turtles and tropical fish, is just yards offshore. Deep sea fishing, horseback riding, scuba diving, parasailing, wakeboarding, water skiing, banana boat rides, and snorkeling tours can also be arranged. A few off-site shops and restaurants are within walking distance.
On-site COVID-19 testing is available, but it isn’t complimentary. Antigen tests are $50 USD per person and PCR tests are $185 USD.
