Formerly called the Azul Sensatori, this Azul property in Puerto Morelos is within walking distance of its sister hotel Azul Beach Resort Riviera Maya. Like its neighboring sister, it caters well to families with Nickelodeon-themed elements and a great kids club; it also caters quite well to couples with 435 Jacuzzi Suites and premium and adults-only sections (more so than the other two Azul hotels on the Riviera Maya). Not all menu items are part of the all-inclusive plan, some areas of the hotel could use maintenance, and the small beach has seaweed and is well below average by Riviera Maya standards (this has a strong negative effect on the Overall Beach Resort Rating, downgrading it to the lower A range); but the resort offers excellent food for an all-inclusive, an enormous network of swimming pools, outstanding dining variety (eight restaurants and eight bars, including three superior swim-up bars and a mojito lounge with 18 different specialty mojitos), a beautiful spa with an array of treatments, and very good overall service. The upscale accommodations come with luxury amenities such as quality jacuzzis, flat-screen TVs, and modern bathrooms with deep sinks; some suites have swim-up access and some are designed specifically for families with extras like baby equipment and toys. Activities include cooking classes, dance classes, snorkeling, Spanish lessons, kayaking, yoga classes, and beach volleyball.
Complimentary on-site COVID-19 antigen tests are available for guests returning to the United States. PCR tests are also available at a discounted rate. In the event of a positive test, the hotel will provide accommodations for up to 14 nights free of charge.
