Opened in 2013, this adults-only, all-inclusive Breathless property is one of Punta Cana’s newest and most modern resorts. It caters very well to couples and singles, especially those looking for a more social, party atmosphere. The overall service and check-in process receive mixed reviews; but the property offers an expansive and uncrowded beach with loungers and day beds, multiple swimming pool areas (including a main social pool with DJs and a swim-up bar, more quiet lazy river-style areas, and a unique elevated pool overlooking the main pool), strong on-site nightlife, excellent spa and fitness facilities, live entertainment, big screen movies and parties on the beach, and a small on-site casino. It also boasts 11 restaurants, four of which offer communal tables for a more social experience; the food is above-average for an all-inclusive, especially in the Dominican Republic. The resort’s chic, brightly-colored accommodations come with a good amount of space and updated amenities; some have swim-up access or ocean views. Activities include horseback riding, fishing, snorkeling, stand-up paddleboarding, sailing, kayaking, kite surfing classes (unique), ATV excursions, and dance and Spanish classes. There’s a weekly market on site, as well, with local art, jewelry, and other items. Guests have access to the 10 bars and 10 restaurants at the Now Onyx next door.
Complimentary COVID-19 antigen tests are provided on-site for guests traveling back to the United States. Test results will be received the same day in a format consistent with government requirements. A minimum 3-night stay is required to qualify. Should a guest test positive, the guest and one other are eligible to stay at the resort free of charge for up to 14 days.
