A modern adults-only, all-inclusive resort just south of Cancun in Puerto Morelos, this lively Breathless property caters well to younger couples and singles with a party atmosphere and plenty to do. The beach here is well below average for the Riviera Maya (this factor takes the Overall Beach Resort Rating out of the A range), the ocean has seaweed, and the most popular restaurant Kibbeh is only available for Xhale Club guests; but the resort offers three chic swimming pool areas (one topless) with modern furniture, a good beach volleyball court, an upscale spa, great on-site nightlife and live entertainment, and a very impressive array of trendy dining options with good food for an all-inclusive (10 restaurants and nine bars/lounges). The “Xclerate Party Zone” area features a 35-person jacuzzi, DJs, and foam parties; The Xcelerate Suites are best for those looking to party; rooms in the Xhale Club Suites area, however, are a little quieter, and the Allure Suites are somewhere in between. All accommodations come with private balconies or terraces, flat-screen TVs, minibars, and Gilchrist & Soames bath products. Some terraces have whirlpools, and some rooms have swim-up access. Activities include dance classes, snorkeling lessons, kayaking, Zumba classes, and golf (with complimentary greens fees at two nearby courses).
Complimentary COVID-19 antigen tests are provided on-site for guests traveling back to the United States. Test results will be received the same day in a format consistent with government requirements. A minimum 3-night stay is required to qualify. Should a guest test positive, the guest and one other are eligible to stay at the resort free of charge for up to 14 days.
