A low-cost all-inclusive resort on the beautiful, white-sand Playa del Arena Blanca (that literally translates to “Beach of White Sand”), the Caribe Club Princess caters to singles and couples on a budget. It also attracts college Spring Breakers in March and April. The TripValue here is +3, which is excellent. Sister resort Tropical Princess (Caa1) next door, which shares some amenities, is a little better suited for families. The rooms are basic and dated for the most part, the fitness center is disappointing, the food is below average, and the best restaurant isn’t included in the all-inclusive package; but the property offers an excellent beach with palapas and Bali beds (this factor helps the Overall Beach Resort Rating a good amount), a fun entertainment team that keeps activities going throughout the day, two large lagoon-style swimming pools, a great selection of water sports, and a unique 24-hour bar that fuels the mostly party atmosphere. Other perks include a snack bar right on the beach, a small on-site spa, and a kids club for ages 4-12. Activities include great parasailing, scuba diving, deep sea fishing, snorkeling excursions, catamaran sailing, windsurfing, archery, kayaking, banana and party boats, mini golf, beach soccer, water polo, dance classes, and Spanish lessons.
On-site COVID-19 testing prior to departure is available for a fee ($35 for rapid antigen tests and $125 for PCR tests). Rapid antigen tests are complimentary for guests traveling back to the U.S.
