This Catalonia all-inclusive property in Puerto Aventuras caters mostly to families with a good selection of activities and an attractive price point. The beach is below average for the Riviera Maya and has rocky water (a plus, however, is that there’s a good amount of palapas and palm trees for shade), the food is subpar, and the rooms are somewhat basic and dated; but the resort offers quality spa and fitness facilities, a great swim-up bar, and nightly entertainment at the theater. Other activities include beach volleyball, tennis, kayaking, scuba diving, sailing, and snorkeling. The resort shares amenities with sister property Catalonia Yucatan Beach next door, and there’s a golf course across the street. The more expensive “Privileged” package will give you access to better hotel rooms, premium drinks, and exclusive beach and lounge areas.
Complimentary COVID-19 antigen tests are available on-site for guests traveling back to the United States (minimum three-night stay required). In the event of a positive test, guests can extend their stay at the resort for up to 10 days at no additional cost.
