One of the most contemporary, outstanding beach resorts in all of Mexico, the new Chileno Bay Resort & Residences caters very well to both couples and families. It not only competes with its longer-established, high-end luxury peers in the Los Cabos area – it’s arguably the best resort on the peninsula. There are only two on-site dining options, but the Mexican restaurant COMAL is especially excellent; it boasts an exceptional oceanfront bar with a stunning, state-of-the-art design that’s consistent with the rest of the hotel. Accommodations range from standard guestrooms to sprawling villas with private pools or jacuzzis and up to six bedrooms; all accommodation styles offer plenty of outdoor living space, outdoor showers, and a chic design with an emphasis on indigenous materials. Villas have 1-4 bedrooms, a full kitchen, and most have a private pool or jacuzzi; the Sky Villas boast expansive rooftop terraces with private pools and fireplaces and their own bars. The resort also offers impeccable service, one of Cabo’s better beachfronts (swimming is allowed, which isn’t the case at all beaches in the area), a three-tiered infinity pool with private pool bungalows plus an adult pool area with a floating bar, Ashtanga yoga and stand-up paddle yoga classes, and an excellent fitness center with cutting-edge equipment and a personal training staff. Activities include good on-site snorkeling, spin classes, stand-up paddleboarding, kayaking, and golf at the outstanding Chileno Bay Club Golf Course next door.
