One of the least expensive options in Grand Cayman’s pricey Seven Mile Beach area, Comfort Suites Seven Mile Beach is a decent option for families and couples, but it isn’t directly on the beach (which is also small; the beach is only a minute or two away on foot, but this factor has a strong negative effect on the Overall Beach Resort Rating). The pool is also small, there’s just one on-site restaurant, the fitness center disappoints (there are just a few pieces of equipment), and the vibe here is more generic hotel chain than beach resort; but the property offers condo-style accommodations with kitchens, fairly good fare for lunch and dinner at Stingers by the pool, a complimentary hot breakfast buffet, free beach lounge chairs and umbrellas (and towels), and basic but clean standard rooms. Rooms come with kitchenettes, king or queen beds, sleeper sofas, and mini-fridges; suites with full kitchens and up to two bedrooms are available. There’s also an on-site dive shop. A good selection of off-site shops and restaurants is available within walking distance.
