Situated along San Juan’s Condado Beach hotel strip, the economical Condado Plaza Hilton is within walking distance of off-site shops, nightlife, and restaurants and caters to a mix of couples, families, and singles. The hotel is spread across both sides of the street (Ashford Ave); The Laguna Tower overlooks Condado Lagoon and is close to the hotel fitness and business centers while the Ocean Tower overlooks the ocean and is by the main hotel amenities, including the pool area, restaurants, and reception. The beach is relatively small and not overly impressive (this factor has a negative effect on the Overall Beach Resort Rating), the fitness center is only mediocre, and on-site activities are somewhat limited; but the property offers stylish rooms with modern amenities, the only saltwater swimming pool in Puerto Rico, calm water for swimming at the cove-like beach, strong overall service, and three independently-owned on-site restaurants (including chains such as Denny’s and Starbucks). Rooms come with private balconies, vibrant artwork (in some), and large flat-screen TVs; suites come with full kitchens. Activities include kayaking, stand-up paddleboarding, snorkeling, pedal boats, bikes for rent, and tennis (the courts are right on the lagoon, which is highly unique).
As Puerto Rico is a commonwealth of the United States, the CDC COVID-19 testing requirement for U.S. travelers re-entering the U.S. from international destinations does not apply.
