A circular, stadium-shaped resort with a large central infinity pool high above the beach, the all-inclusive Crown Paradise Club is a good value for families, with an economy to lower middle-range price tag. The food is mediocre at best, reserving lounge chairs can be difficult at peak times, and the rooms are fairly basic and beginning to show some wear; but the resort offers strong restaurant variety, a fun entertainment team that keeps activities going throughout the day, separate clubs for kids (4-12) and teens, a unique toddlers club (18 months to 4 years), a small kids-only water park with slides, another small water park for parents and kids with larger slides, an adult pool with a swim-up bar, quality tennis courts and multi-sport courts, nightly shows, and great ocean views from the room balconies. The vertical separation between the beach and the pool allows the beach to be significantly more quiet than the pool area, where most of the activities are going on. Some of the larger suites have bunk beds or jacuzzis, and all rooms have marble floors. Activities include ziplining, rock climbing (both are highly unique), mini golf, water polo, aerobics classes, and scuba diving lessons. Other water sports are available nearby, but not within walking distance. The property is on the south end of the hotel zone, so it’s farther from Cancun’s nightlife but closer to the airport.
