The Divi Aruba Phoenix is located away from the other Divi properties in Aruba, between Palm Beach and Eagle Beach, and is a little quieter. The main Divi complex, which is where the 9-hole Divi Village Golf Course is located, is to its south, along Divi Beach. The beach is slightly narrower at the Phoenix and there’s no all-inclusive plan (there is at the main complex, with 10 restaurants to choose from as opposed to two on-site restaurants at the Phoenix); but all accommodations at the 240-suite property have kitchens and ocean views, and come in a range of sizes (studio, one-, two-, and three-bedroom). Some have washer/dryers. The rooms are high quality overall, but suites in the newer tower (the Beach Tower) are significantly more modern than those in the older tower. Other amenities include a small spa, an excellent fitness center with plenty of space, and a nice pool area and swim-up bar. The Kitchen Table, one of the island’s best restaurants, is within easy walking distance; it offers an intimate setting and some of the most authentic Aruban cuisine on the island. The Bubali Bird Sanctuary is right across the street.
Departure COVID-19 testing is available on-site, for a fee. In the event of a positive COVID test before U.S. re-entry, the island’s mandatory COVID-19 insurance will cover designated accommodation costs until recovery.
