An interactive, relatively affordable all-inclusive with an excellent selection of water sports and other activities, Dreams Puerto Aventuras caters well to families. The beach is on the small side by Riviera Maya standards, the ocean is a bit rocky (and has some seaweed, which can be common in the area), and the fitness center is only mediocre; but the property offers good food for an all-inclusive, two swim-up bars, an above average kids club, a nice beach bar with swing seats, excellent dining variety (one restaurant is adults only), and furnished balconies and upscale bathrooms and other amenities in all rooms. Water sports on-site and at the nearby marina include scuba diving, snorkeling, fishing, sailing, and swimming or kayaking with the dolphins at the on-site Dolphinarium. Other activities include beach volleyball, golf (there’s a course within walking distance and greens fees are complimentary at another nearby course), mini golf, yoga classes, dance classes, cooking classes, big screen movies on the beach, and activities for teens such as weekly bonfires. A good selection of off-site shops and restaurants is available within walking distance.
Complimentary COVID-19 antigen tests are provided on-site for guests traveling back to the United States. Test results will be received the same day in a format consistent with government requirements. A minimum 3-night stay is required to qualify. Should a guest test positive, the guest and one other are eligible to stay at the resort free of charge for up to 14 days.
