Located on a more narrow stretch of Grand Cayman’s renowned Seven Mile Beach, the Grand Cayman Marriott Beach Resort caters mostly to families with somewhat affordable rates for the area and a good location; despite this, the TripValue is still poor (-4). The beach and pool areas are quite small and cramped, the fitness center is just so-so, and there’s no swim-up bar; but the property offers strong dining variety for a non-all-inclusive (there are four on-site dining options), strong overall dining quality including a good breakfast, comfortable (albeit somewhat dated) rooms, modern on-site bars, a full-service spa with body scrubs and wraps, attractive common areas, and a great staff. Rooms come with private balconies, mini-fridges, flat-screen TVs, room service, and plush robes and slippers. Activities include jet skiing, water skiing, kayaking, bikes for rent, sailing, on-site snorkeling, and stand-up paddleboarding. A good selection of off-site shops and restaurants is available within walking distance. Stingray City offers swimming with turtles and rays a few miles away.
