A former longtime Radisson resort located on Aruba’s Palm Beach, the Hilton Aruba Caribbean Resort & Casino is one of the island’s best overall beach resorts (especially for the average price point). It completed a $30 million renovation in 2011-2012. In July 2015, it re-opened as a Hilton resort; but many of the amenities, including the restaurants, are the same. There’s no swim-up bar or all-inclusive plan; but the property offers modern rooms, a standout swimming pool area, great food (especially at the more upscale Sunset Grille), a strong white-sand beachfront, yoga classes twice a week, and one of the very best spas on the island (offering hydrotherapy options and indigenous treatments such as the signature Aloe Vera and Rum Massage). The hotel staff is consistently very friendly and accommodating, and the fitness center is well above average. Rooms come with private balconies or patios, mini-fridges, large flat-screen TVs, and modern touches; upgrading to the Palm Beach Club rooms comes with perks such as a breakfast buffet, cocktails, pre-reserved beach palapas, preferred seating in all restaurants, pool cabana rental discounts, and spa credit. Shops and restaurants abound in the immediate vicinity, including Salt & Pepper – a fun, unique eatery and tapas bar just across the street.
The hotel can help facilitate COVID-19 testing with a local provider. In the event of a positive test, the island’s mandatory COVID-19 insurance will cover designated accommodation costs until recovery.
