An interactive resort with an affordable price point on Palm Beach, the Holiday Inn Resort Aruba mostly attracts families with kids. The grounds can be crowded (pre-COVID, but there’s less space on the beach here than at many other properties on the island), there’s no swim-up bar, and palapas (while free) are subject to a lottery system; but the resort has clean guest rooms with updated amenities, beautiful grounds with palm trees and an alluring pool area, strong overall service, a rum tasting bar, an on-site casino, four tennis courts, and a bright and airy fitness center. Rooms come with furnished balconies or terraces, pillow top mattresses, pillow menus, flat-screen TVs, coffee makers, and Bath & Body Works bath amenities; most have at least partial ocean views. Sailing and snorkeling cruises are available right on the beach, among other water sports (directly in front of the Marriott Surf Club next door), and off-site shops and restaurants are plentiful at the Palm Beach Shopping Mall just across the street. Other activities include yoga and Pilates classes, Tai Chi classes, aqua aerobics, aqua golf, and pool volleyball. For the price, the overall value at this Holiday Inn is quite strong.
In the event of a positive COVID test before U.S. re-entry, the island’s mandatory COVID-19 insurance will cover designated accommodation costs until recovery.
