With seven restaurants, four swimming pools, and two swim-up bars, the family-friendly Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos has all the amenities to compete with the big-time all-inclusives. However, its rustic-chic charm, excellent service, and extraordinary Zen Spa are what set it apart from other all-inclusives in its price range. The food is quite good for an all-inclusive, too, and the grounds are clean and well-kept. The ocean isn’t swimmable because of the undertow (this is a common issue in Los Cabos); but the property offers outstanding cuisine variety, pool cabanas for rent at reasonable rates, a sports bar, a kids club for ages 4-12, a theater with Cirque du Soleil-style shows, personal yoga sessions, and a very spacious fitness center with a variety of equipment and heavier dumbbells than the norm. Despite the unswimmable ocean, the beach is high-quality here, with plenty of space, good sand, and a solid beach volleyball court. The rooms are modern, equipped with rainfall showers, hydromassage tubs, bathrobes and slippers, re-stocked minibars, 24-hour room service, and free Wi-Fi. Swim-up suites are available.
Complimentary COVID-19 antigen tests are available for guests returning to the United States (minimum three-night stay required to qualify). In the event of a positive test, the resort offers up to a 50% discount for guests needing to quarantine until recovery, for up to 14 days (extended stays for up to 14 days are complimentary for guests that enroll in the resort’s Extended Stay protection program for $29 per person upon check-in).
