Part of the massive five-section Iberostar Paraiso resort complex between Puerto Morelos and Playa del Carmen, the Grand Paraiso is the most luxurious and quiet, and the only adults-only section; with a Aa1 Overall Beach Resort Rating, it’s the highest-rated Iberostar resort in the entire Riviera Maya region (there are seven total). Its four immediate neighbors include the more economical Paraiso Beach (Ba1) and Paraiso Del Mar (Ba1) sections, and the mid-range Paraiso Lindo (Baa2) and Paraiso Maya (Baa2) sections. The food is quite good for an all-inclusive, but it’s not outstanding, especially for a resort of this caliber; this is the main factor pulling the Overall Beach Resort Rating below Aaa. However, the property offers an outstanding white-sand beach (the beach is decidedly best by the Grand section of the complex), opulent accommodations with marble flooring and spacious balconies, an on-site P.B. Dye-designed golf course (greens fees are complimentary for guests staying 3+ nights), a relaxing and peaceful atmosphere, three swimming pool areas, butler service, and high quality spa and fitness facilities. Other activities include scuba diving, jet skiing, sailing, snorkeling, kayaking, dance and cooking classes, archery, yoga and spin classes, and wine tasting. Guests here have (non-reciprocal) access to all five sections of the resort complex.
Free COVID-19 antigen tests are available on-site for all guests returning to the United States. PCR tests are also offered for a fee.
