An adults-only, all-inclusive boutique resort with an emphasis on wellness, Kore Tulum Retreat and Spa Resort caters well to couples looking for a rejuvenating vacation. It’s located just south of the Mayan ruins at Tulum, which are an easy bike ride away (complimentary bicycles are available; downtown Tulum is also reachable by bike). Restaurant variety is below average for an all-inclusive (there are just two on-site options), some guests complain of slow restaurant service and poor in-room water pressure, and the rocky ocean isn’t ideal for swimming (the beach is also manmade; this has a strong negative effect on the Overall Beach Resort Rating, taking it out the A range); but the property offers a very relaxed atmosphere, a tiered infinity pool with a long swim-up bar, good overall service, a strong fitness center, and a beautiful spa. Modern and spacious, the accommodations come with jacuzzis, minibars, flat-screen TVs, and garden or ocean views. Activities are limited, but include quality yoga classes by the beach and massage and reflexology treatments at the spa. There’s also a shuttle provided to another nearby beach.
On-site COVID-19 testing is not available, but the front desk can assist with finding testing providers nearby prior to departure.
