With one of the longest swimming pools in the entire Caribbean meandering its way across the property, the Majestic Elegance caters to both couples and families with both social and quiet areas, adults-only areas (booked separately – this is the kid-friendly section), and a great selection of water sports. The rooms are decent but could use some updating, the beach can get crowded at peak times, the food gets mixed reviews (this factor has a negative effect on the Overall Beach Resort Rating), and some of the amenities (such as the spa, casino, and kids club) are next door at the Majestic Colonial; but the resort offers a nice beachfront, solid spa and fitness facilities, a few small shops on “Caribbean Street,” a great kids club with a small water park area (next door), a fun entertainment team that keeps activities going throughout the day, a modern sports bar, and strong restaurant variety. Swim-up suites and rooms with indoor or outdoor jacuzzis are available. The adults-only Elegance Club section offers butler service, a quieter atmosphere, and exclusive dining areas. Neighboring sister properties include the Majestic Colonial (A2) and the Majestic Mirage (A1). On-site water sports include Hobie Cat sailing, banana boat rides, jetboat and party boat rides, parasailing, scuba diving, snorkeling, kayaking, and windsurfing.
Complimentary COVID-19 antigen tests are provided on-site for guests staying three nights or more (results are delivered within 48 hours). PCR tests are also available for $79 USD (results are delivered within 72 hours). In the event of a positive test, guests can stay at the resort until recovery at a discounted rate ($100 USD per person in double occupancy or $120 USD per person in single occupancy).
