Set on one of the widest and most beautiful beaches in the Caribbean, and certainly the best beachfront in Aruba, Manchebo prioritizes wellness and especially caters to couples. The 72-room boutique property’s quiet, relaxing atmosphere and impeccable, personalized service adds to its allure, and the beach’s ample space and palapas more than adequately accommodate guests. The fitness center doesn’t have much, the pool area isn’t so impressive, and the rooms aren’t overly luxurious for a resort of this general caliber; but the property offers daily yoga and Pilates classes (including free introductory classes), an excellent spa with outdoor treatment rooms and a Balinese-inspired menu (call the hotel to reserve treatments in advance), relatively modern guest rooms with a tropical feel, a juice and smoothie bar, and welcome mojitos upon check-in. Rooms come with private furnished balconies or patios, spa-inspired bathrooms with marble and cherry wood finishes and premium bath amenities, zero-entry rainfall showers, large work desks, refreshment nooks with mini-fridges and coffee makers, ice chest beach coolers, and flat-screen TVs. On-site activities are fairly limited, but water sports are available in the vicinity. An all-inclusive plan is available (the food is well above average for an all-inclusive), and guests staying four nights or more are treated to an off-site dinner as well, courtesy of the resort.
On-site COVID-19 testing (PCR) is available for a fee ($100 USD). In the event of a positive test, the island’s mandatory COVID-19 insurance will cover designated accommodation costs until recovery.
