An upper-range resort with just 76 rooms in historic Holetown, Mango Bay Barbados caters well to couples with the unique combination of an all-inclusive offering and a boutique hotel feel. There’s just one on-site restaurant, the lackluster beach is small and cramped (this factor has a strong negative effect on the Overall Beach Resort Rating and TripValue, lowering the former from the upper B range to the lower B range), the fitness center is tiny and disappointing, and most of the rooms are relatively unimpressive for the price tag (they vary in quality); but the property offers a good freeform swimming pool, a full on-site spa with hot stone massages and a salon menu, included afternoon tea, friendly service, and an on-site beach shop. Rooms come with king beds, bathrobes, and beach towels. The penthouse suites are significantly more upscale and modern; they come with four-poster beds, wood flooring, cold plunge pools on the patio, walk-in showers, and ocean views. Activities include complimentary water skiing, complimentary boat trips with snorkeling and swimming with Leatherback and Hawksbill sea turtles, jet skiing, complimentary glass-bottom boat rides, kayaking, pedal boating, and Hobie Cat and catamaran sailing. An excellent selection of off-site shops and restaurants is available within walking distance.
All travelers to Barbados are required to present proof of a valid negative COVID-19 PCR test taken at a an accredited or recognized laboratory within three days prior to arrival. It is also necessary to complete your on-line immigration and customs form by going to www.travelform.gov.bb. The form should be completed 24 hours prior to arrival, and preferably include the upload of your negative COVID-19 PCR test result. Travelers will be required to retest with a COVID-19 PCR test 5 days (120 hours) after their arrival in the country. If the result of that second PCR test is negative, that traveler can now enjoy unrestricted movement to public spaces (including the beach). Guests from High and Medium Category countries (which currently includes the UK, the US and Canada) must quarantine in their rooms until the second test is negative.
