Resort Profile

A budget boutique hotel in Nassau that was once the home of music legend Bob Marley, Marley Resort & Spa caters well to couples with lower rates and a more quiet, isolated feel than most options in the Cable Beach vicinity. The beach and pool are both relatively small (the pool is tiny, even for a boutique hotel; these factors have a negative effect on the Overall Beach Resort Rating, lowering it from the middle B range to the lower B range), most rooms are dated and a little rough around the edges (the best suites are a noticeable step up, however), and on-site activities are basically non-existent; but the property offers oceanfront dining with a beautiful elevated view and both indoor and outdoor seating at the on-site Simmer Down Restaurant (there’s also Stir It Up Bar), friendly service, a basic on-site spa with African and Asian influences, a music gallery with original memorabilia from the Marley family, and a (basic) complimentary hot breakfast. The 16 themed suites reflect an Afro-Caribbean style, with mahogany furniture, distressed hardwood floors, brightly colored mosaic tiles, and Moroccan rugs. They also have appropriate names such as “Three Little Birds,” “Satisfy My Soul,” and, for the honeymoon suite, “One Love.”

Everyone traveling to The Bahamas must obtain a negative COVID-19 RT-PCR (swab) test taken no more than five days prior to the date of arrival. The day the test is taken is considered Day Zero. Test must return a negative result for entry into The Bahamas. Children 10 and under are not required to take a test. Negative PCR test results must be uploaded in order to complete a Bahamas Health Visa application, and must be presented upon arrival in The Bahamas.
