Catering well to both couples and families, Now Sapphire Riviera Cancun is a modern mid-range resort with great food for an all-inclusive, strong cuisine variety, and upscale accommodations. The well-rounded resort is located just north of Puerto Morelos on Mexico’s Riviera Maya, about 20 minutes north of sister property Now Jade Riviera Cancun (Baa2). Some areas are for Preferred Club guests only and beach lounge chairs can be difficult to reserve at times; but the property offers a fairly nice beach (despite being a little on the small side with occasional seaweed), a spa with Mayan Temazcal ceremonies and hydrotherapy, beautiful swimming pools with in-water aqua loungers and adults-only and kids areas, a decent fitness center with a good amount of open space, an on-site nightclub, a great kids club, separate activities for teens, tennis courts, and a baby sea turtle release program seasonally. All accommodations are freshly renovated spacious suites, equipped with balconies or terraces, jacuzzis, flat-screen TVs, comfortable beds, marble floors, mini bars (re-stocked daily), and Gilchrist & Soames bath products. Activities include scuba diving, snorkeling, kayaking, sailing, windsurfing, yoga classes, cigar-making classes, dance classes, Spanish lessons, and live entertainment at night. There’s also a new on-site water park with large waterslides plus a splash park for kids. Complimentary greens fees at a nearby golf course are available for guests; there is no course, however, on-site.
Complimentary COVID-19 antigen tests are provided on-site for guests traveling back to the United States. Test results will be received the same day in a format consistent with government requirements. A minimum 3-night stay is required to qualify. Should a guest test positive, the guest and one other are eligible to stay at the resort free of charge for up to 14 days.
