Oasis Palm is the even more economical section of the kid-friendly Grand Oasis Palm (Caa1) resort on the northern outer fringe of Cancun’s Hotel Zone. The only real difference between the Oasis Palm section and the Grand Oasis Palm section is that the Oasis Palm rooms are smaller and more basic. Oasis Palm guests also don’t have access to all amenities of the resort, including the cigar bar and a couple of the restaurants. The greater resort is situated on one of Cancun’s smallest and least impressive beachfronts (this factor has a strong negative effect on the Overall Beach Resort Rating, bringing it from the lower B to the upper C range), timeshare sales pitches can be a nuisance, the gym is so-so at best, and the restaurants are mediocre overall; but the property offers a kids club called the “KiddO Zone” with a kids-only eatery and video games, a kids pool with a pirate ship and mini-sunbeds, waterslides, a multi-sport court, an adults-only cigar bar, and a calmer sea for swimming than much of Cancun. A good portion of the pool and beach areas is shaded by palm trees (a pro for some, a con for others), but the pool itself is quite nice. Activities include banana boat rides, jet skiing, parasailing, beach volleyball, and kayaking. Dance classes, yoga classes, Zumba and Pilates, and cooking classes are offered on-site as well.
Complimentary on-site COVID-19 antigen tests are available prior to departure for guests traveling to the United States (minimum three-night stay required for eligibility).
