An economy all-inclusive resort on Punta Cana’s Bavaro Beach, this Occidental property features beautiful rooms for the price that have been recently renovated; it caters well to both couples and families. Timeshare sales pitches can be aggressive, the fitness center is dated and disappointing, and the food gets so-so to poor reviews; but the property offers a large main pool area with a swim-up bar, a second pool area just off the beach, a nice beachfront with plenty of palm trees for shade, nightly entertainment, an on-site nightclub, excellent dining variety (there are seven a la carte restaurants) and a spa with a Turkish bath and massages on the beach. Royal Level suites are closer to the beach; upgrading to the Royal Level comes with expedited check-in/check-out, access to a private restaurant and a private area on the beach with a bar with premium drinks, free internet, and preferred reservations at the a la carte restaurants. Activities include archery, scuba diving, Hobie Cat sailing, parasailing, banana boat rides, kayaking, tennis, basketball, and dance classes.
On-site COVID-19 testing is offered prior to departure, but it isn’t complimentary.
