One of the most luxurious beach resorts in all of Mexico, the Aaa-rated One&Only Palmilla Los Cabos boasts a 27-hole Jack Nicklaus golf course, impeccable service, and some of the best fine dining in Cabo. The beautiful on-site beachfront (Pelican Beach) is swimmable, too, which is fairly rare in the Los Cabos area due to rough currents (part of the resort’s shoreline is rocky and unsafe for swimming, but Pelican Beach is safe). Rooms are equipped with balconies or patios, impressive floor-to-ceiling windows, Lady Primrose bath products, flat-screen TVs, and Bose audio systems; some have private plunge pools. There aren’t any off-site shops or restaurants within walking distance, but all of the on-site dining options are excellent; the signature restaurant SEARED, helmed by Michelin-starred Chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten, is particularly impressive. Other amenities include two outstanding swimming pools (one of which is for adults only and has a great swim-up bar), superior kids and teens clubs with plenty of activities, a quaint chapel that provides an ideal setting for weddings, and a top-notch fitness center. The spa is one of the very best in Mexico; it offers hot and cold rock pools, a yoga garden, 13 private treatment villas, and Mexican Temazcal steam rituals. Scuba diving, snorkeling, excellent surfing lessons, and deep sea fishing excursions can be arranged through the concierge, among other activities. To top it all off, whale watching is often possible right from the resort grounds.
On-site COVID-19 testing is available for guests prior to departure, but it is not complimentary. Antigen tests cost $30 USD per test (results available within 24 hours) and PCR tests cost $240 USD per test (results available within 48-72 hours). The butler team can help with test scheduling.
