With a +4 TripValue, it’s one of Cancun’s better deals. The resort caters well to both families and couples, with separate adults-only areas, plenty to do, and ample quiet spaces. The resort in general shows its age in some places (it was originally built about 30 years ago) and its sprawling grounds can be difficult for less mobile guests to navigate (and can be confusing, too); but the property offers excellent food for an all-inclusive (plus top-notch cuisine variety, with nine restaurants and seven bars), an outstanding white-sand beachfront with palapas and Bali beds, verdant tropical grounds, one of Cancun’s largest swimming pool networks, a nine-hole par 3 golf course, and upscale rooms with modern touches. Other highlights include a state-of-the-art fitness center, a beautiful spa, and butler service (guests can communicate with butlers via WhatsApp). The pyramid-style architecture of the resort allows room balconies to have great ocean views and all receive sun – a fairly rare combination. Couples may want to book the adults-only Royal Service rooms; the Family Concierge rooms, on the other hand, have kid-friendly amenities. Activities include sushi workshops, wine and tequila tastings, and beach volleyball; there’s more for kids at the kids club.
