Comprising oceanfront rooms designed by Ralph Lauren and luxurious villas with private pools, Round Hill Hotel and Villas is one of the best resorts in the Montego Bay area, and perhaps even all of Jamaica. The tranquil, secluded atmosphere and variety of accommodations allows it to cater well to both couples and families. The beach is small and mostly unimpressive despite its private cove feel (this factor has a negative effect on the Overall Beach Resort Rating, lowering it from Aaa to Aa2, as well as the TripValue), rooms lack TVs, some rooms lack balconies, and there isn’t much at all within walking distance; but the 110-acre property offers impeccable service, outstanding on-site dining managed by the resort’s James Beard award-winning Executive Chef, a beautiful infinity pool overlooking the ocean, an excellent spa with outdoor treatments, an outdoor yoga pavilion with ocean views, a bright fitness center with good equipment, an on-site gift shop and boutique, two kids clubs (one for ages 3-6, the other for ages 7 and up) with a variety of activities, and five high quality tennis courts. The rooms have an airy, island vibe with rustic-chic four-poster beds, writing desks, louvered windows, and uplit cathedral ceilings; the villas boast beautiful private pools (in nearly all), collections of books to read, high end amenities, plenty of space, and a dedicated housekeeping staff, among much more. Activities include on-site snorkeling, glass-bottom boat rides, water skiing, tubing, Hobie Cat sailing, speedboat trips, deep sea fishing, scuba diving, windsurfing, and weekly tours of the property’s gardens.
On-site COVID-19 testing is available, but it is not complimentary. Antigen tests are $100 (results are received in 15 minutes) and PCR tests are $200 (results are received in 48 hours).
