A short walk from downtown Cabo and its marina (where there’s a plethora of water sports options), this mid-priced, all-inclusive Sandos property attracts a mix of singles, couples and families. The beach isn’t swimmable (this is a common issue in Los Cabos because of the undertow and rip currents, but it has a negative effect on the Overall Beach Resort Rating nonetheless) and the food is somewhat hit or miss; but the property offers sleek bars (including The Stones Club, a nod to the fact that Keith Richards married at the hotel in 1983), an expansive beachfront with palapas and day beds for shade, 24-hour room service, an adults-only pool with a swim-up bar, an entertainment staff with plenty of activities, a modern and clean fitness center, a good on-site spa, and a kids club. The Finisterra Suites are the best accommodations available; they come with clifftop views over the bay and marina (or partial ocean views), living room areas, access to the VIP pool area, and standalone in-room jacuzzis (in king rooms). Water sports at the marina include deep sea fishing, scuba diving, jet skiing, and parasailing, to name a few. Top Cabo attraction Land’s End (and its iconic El Arco rock formation) is also within walking distance.
Departure COVID-19 antigen tests are available on-site on a complimentary basis for guests traveling to the United States. Results take an average of 24 hours. In the event of a positive test, guests can extend their stay for up to 14 days at no additional cost.
