An adults-only, all-inclusive resort just north of Playa del Carmen and neighboring the exclusive Mayakoba resort area, Secrets Capri Riviera Cancun caters well to couples with elegant Mediterranean-inspired accommodations with four-poster beds, marble bathrooms with jetted bathtubs, and furnished balconies or terraces. The property’s Overall Beach Resort Rating is slightly lower than most in the Secrets chain, but the price point is as well (the TripValue here is Even, meaning it’s fairly priced on average). There aren’t any off-site shops or restaurants within walking distance and the beach is only decent (it’s not overly impressive compared to its Playa del Carmen peers); but the resort offers a large 16,000-square foot figure 8-shaped pool with a bridge and a nice swim-up bar, great food for an all-inclusive with strong restaurant variety, a music lounge with billiards, a weekly local art gallery in the lobby, nightly shows, a spa with a variety of couples treatments and salon services, and complimentary greens fees at nearby golf course Grand Coral Riviera Maya, designed by PGA champion Nick Price. Other activities include parasailing, windsurfing, kayaking, snorkeling, scuba diving, sailing, beer and tequila tastings, yoga and spin classes, Pilates, Spanish and dance lessons, archery and rifle shooting, bicycle tours, and deep sea fishing.
Complimentary COVID-19 antigen tests are provided on-site for guests traveling back to the United States. Test results will be received the same day in a format consistent with government requirements. A minimum 3-night stay is required to qualify. Should a guest test positive, the guest and one other are eligible to stay at the resort free of charge for up to 14 days.
