Boasting an outstanding white-sand beach area with plenty of space and plenty of activities, the adults-only Secrets Royal Beach caters well to couples; with a +3 TripValue, it’s one of Punta Cana’s better deals. Some amenities such as the spa are located at kid-friendly Now Larimar (A2) next door (Secrets guests have full access to Now Larimar) and on-site restaurant variety is only decent for an all-inclusive (there are five options to choose from); but the resort offers three quality swimming pools that meander through the grounds, good food for an all-inclusive, a weekly market with local art and jewelry, a weekly cocktail party hosted by management, big screen movies on the beach, a good fitness center, romantic dinners on the beach, and quality accommodations (they come with marble bathrooms and furnished terraces or balconies with hydrotubs). Upgrading to Preferred Club suites includes access to a private lounge and swimming pool and special concierge (butler) service. The resort’s new nearby sister property Secrets Cap Cana (Aaa) is more exclusive and isolated, and has an even better beach, but its rates are often significantly higher. Activities include sailing, parasailing, evening entertainment and theme parties, tennis, bowling, basketball, beach volleyball, fishing, dance and Spanish lessons, and banana boat rides.
Complimentary COVID-19 antigen tests are provided on-site for guests traveling back to the United States. Test results will be received the same day in a format consistent with government requirements. A minimum 3-night stay is required to qualify. Should a guest test positive, the guest and one other are eligible to stay at the resort free of charge for up to 14 days.
