An all-inclusive, kid-friendly beach resort on St. Lucia’s Choc Bay with rates in the upper middle range, St. James’s Club Morgan Bay caters well to families with an impressive array of included water sports. The beach is somewhat small (not so much by St. Lucia standards, but small for the size of the resort), the rooms are fairly dated (especially the least expensive options), and the overall service gets inconsistent reviews (collectively, these three factors have a strong negative effect on the Overall Beach Resort Rating); but the property offers an open-air yoga pavilion, a great fitness center with a variety of equipment including spin bikes, a solid main pool area with a swim-up bar, four good tennis courts, and strong dining variety at six on-site restaurants (although the reservation process can be difficult at times). The hillside spa impresses with ocean views, aromatic salt glow scrubs, reflexology treatments, aromatherapy massages, and detox seaweed wraps. The standard rooms are significantly more dated and lower in quality then the suites and Deluxe rooms; they bring the overall Room Quality score down into the upper C range. Activities include tennis, yoga classes, Pilates and spin classes, and nightly entertainment; complimentary water sports include water skiing, wakeboarding, wind surfing, banana boat rides, Hobie Cat sailing, kayaking, pedal boats, and paddleboarding.
