Featuring an on-site marina on Rodney Bay and great spa and fitness facilities, The Landings Resort & Spa by Elegant Hotels is a tranquil condo-style beach resort on St. Lucia’s northwest coast that caters well to families with one-, two-, and three-bedroom accommodations. On-site activities are limited, there isn’t much within walking distance, some common features of luxury beach resorts are lacking here because it’s residential (such as nightly shows and a swim-up bar, for example); and the atmosphere may not be social enough for some; but the property offers three (somewhat small) swimming pools, a good beach with white sand and a protected swimming area, St. Lucia’s only private marina, a grocery delivery service, wait service and lounge chairs/umbrellas on the beach, three on-site restaurants (including beachfront) with good food, three bars, a kids club for ages 4-12 with a good selection of activities such as picnic trips and treasure hunts, and a 7,000-square-foot spa with unique treatment rooms that have outdoor hydrotherapy terraces. The 24-hour, state-of-the-art fitness center offers yoga, Pilates, and spin classes. The upscale units come with full kitchens, washer/dryers, bamboo and rattan furnishings, marble bathrooms, large balconies, and plenty of space; some come with butler service and/or private plunge pools. Activities include kayaking, stand-up paddleboarding, sailing, and tennis. Excursions such as rainforest ziplining, hiking the nearby Pitons, and scuba diving can also be arranged. Partial all-inclusive plans are available but not obligatory and the resort offers a babysitting service (three hours are complimentary with the booking of a one-, two-, or three-bedroom Villa Suite).
