An excellent all-around resort along Grand Cayman’s renowned Seven Mile Beach (especially for the price – an Even TripValue is a win on this island), The Westin Grand Cayman Seven Mile Beach Resort & Spa was refurbished in 2017 and caters well to families, couples, and singles with a fun and social atmosphere (it’s not too rowdy, though, for those looking to relax). Some guests complain about the resort fee and food prices and not all rooms have balconies or terraces; but the property offers a picturesque white-sand beach with a generous amount of space (despite some recent erosion) plus modern cabanas for rent and calm turquoise water for swimming, a trendy swimming pool with palm trees and a swim-up bar (a rarity in Grand Cayman), three top-notch restaurants headlined by the award-winning seafood eatery Beach House, a modern fitness center with good equipment, an above average kids club, a coffee shop with snacks and breakfast burritos, and private beachside dinners courtesy of the Beach House restaurant. The impressive Hibiscus Spa features 13 treatment rooms, two steam and sauna rooms, in-suite massages, and women’s whirlpool and Vichy showers. Rooms come with contemporary and newly renovated interiors, elegant French doors that open to balconies or patios (in most), large flat-screen TVs, and mini-fridges. Activities include jet skiing, kayaking, snorkeling, sailing, stand-up paddleboarding, bikes for rent, yoga on the beach, marshmallow roasting on the beach, and paella nights at Tortuga Beach Grill & Bar. Scuba diving is also available in the immediate vicinity.
On-site COVID-19 testing is not available, but the hotel can connect guests with local testing providers prior to departure.
