A more economical option in Punta Cana, VIK Hotel Arena Blanca attracts a mix of couples and families. The beach directly in front of the hotel is narrow for Punta Cana (this has a negative effect on the Overall Beach Resort Rating, and lounge chairs and palapas can be difficult to reserve), there’s no swim-up bar, the rooms are relatively dated, the fitness center is lackluster, and both the food and on-site casino fail to impress; but the property offers a small on-site spa with couples treatments, romantic dinners on the beach, a kids club for ages 4-12, and a babysitting service.
