Located near downtown Cabo on one of the area’s few swimmable beaches, the all-inclusive optional Villa del Arco caters well to families with amenities such as a kids club and a large pirate ship in the pool. It’s one of three properties in the resort complex (the others being Villa del Palmar and Villa La Estancia); of the three, it ranks second in terms of overall quality. The beach is somewhat narrower than it is in other parts of Cabo (but again, the swimmable ocean is a big perk), some restaurant items are not part of the all-inclusive plan, and timeshare pitches can be a nuisance; but the resort offers a 31,000-square foot spa, themed night shows, an excellent fitness center, an impressive array of activities specifically for kids (arts and crafts, baking and cupcake decorating, and Disney-themed shows to name a few) and a solid selection of on-site dining options (including a good taco bar). All accommodations are quite spacious; they come with kitchens or kitchenettes and large private balconies. “Unique Suites” come with extra perks such as a complimentary beach bag, fruit basket, bottle of wine, bottle of tequila, L’Occitane bath products, and use of the hydrotherapy circuit at the spa. All guests also have access to the amenities at both neighboring sister properties.
On-site COVID-19 antigen testing is available for guests prior to returning to the United States, but it isn’t complimentary (although guests will receive a resort credit equal to the cost of the test, which they can spend at the resort during their stay). In the event of a positive test, the guest can extend their stay for up to 14 nights at a discounted rate.
