One of the lowest-priced options in Puerto Vallarta, this Villa del Mar property is a solid budget option for families. The main swimming pool is a little small for the size of the property, there’s no swim-up bar, there’s another hotel between the rooms and the beach, and the rooms are quite basic and dated; but the resort offers solid overall service, a strong fitness center, high quality tennis courts, an on-site grocery store, a nice spa, and access to the amenities of sister property Villa del Palmar next door. Activities include beach volleyball, ceviche and guacamole making classes, wine and tequila tastings, and water sports in the immediate vicinity (including jet skiing, scuba diving, kayaking, and fishing). Suites come with private balconies or terraces, full kitchens, and plenty of space for up to six guests. An all-inclusive plan is offered but not obligatory. An excellent selection of off-site shops and restaurants is available at La Isla Shopping Village, a short walk away.
